The Miracle of Merino Wool
The functional pad of SAYU period underwear has a top layer made from merino wool. Among materials that come into direct contact with the skin, merino wool has no competition, no synthetic fiber can match its qualities. Few natural materials have such unique properties as merino wool, worn by sheep living in the harshest conditions. Our wool comes from Australian "mulesing-free" sheep and is certified with Oeko-Tex® standards.

Free from nanosilver
Our underwear do not contain nanosilver particles. Nanosilver is classified as a biocide – a substance that kills or inhibits the growth of harmful organisms. While it does have antibacterial properties, overuse can negatively affect human health, and its large-scale production places a significant burden on the planet.
Since nanosilver can disrupt the essential microflora of the body and even contribute to the development of allergies, we chose not to use it in our underwear. Merino wool naturally provides antibacterial properties without the need for any chemical treatments.
Made in the Czech Republic. From A to Z.
We care about local production and fair working conditions. The design and pattern preparation of our underwear is created in-house. The underwear are then sewn by a Czech manufacturer. Every step of production matters to us, and selecting the right materials is absolutely essential. We make no compromises not only on appearance and quality, but also on the origin of our materials. Functional fabrics, including merino wool, come from Czech producers, while high-quality knits and delicate lace are sourced from Italy and Germany. The SAYUtech membrane was developed at the Faculty of Textile Engineering at the Technical University of Liberec, where it is still produced today. Each layer of the functional pad is also tested there.

On average, a woman uses around 15,000 period products in her lifetime. Most of these are non-recyclable and slow to decompose, ending up in landfills. Even the production of pads and tampons is not kind to the environment. For example, bleaching with chlorine compounds creates a significant environmental burden, and chemical residues can also affect the human body. Beyond the ecological benefits, period underwear bring comfort to your life. No more chafing, rustling, or discomfort in intimate areas. Simply wear them like any other day. Technology
While others rely on marketing hype, we deliver real innovation. SAYU underwear is not only beautiful and comfortable, but they also feature advanced technologies: the absorbent SAYUpro layer and the highly breathable SAYUtech membrane. Both were developed in collaboration with the Technical University of Liberec.
